LVI Dentist Andrea Elenbaas

Dr. Andrea Elenbaas

Dr. Andrea Elenbaas is a true Mississippi Gulf Coast native, having lived in Moss Point, Long Beach, Pass Christian and Gulfport. In 1993, she graduated from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor's of Science degree in General Science and a minor in Biology. In 1996, she continued her education at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson where she earned her Doctorate in Medical Dentistry. Following graduation, she joined the United States Navy, serving as a General Dentist in Rota, Spain and in Okinawa, Japan. During her active duty tours, Dr. Elenbaas earned the Navy Achievement Medal for her work with high dental-anxiety patients. After completing her service in the Navy, Dr. Elenbaas returned home to live out her dream of serving the remarkable people of the Mississippi Gulf Coast. In 2002 she opened Beach View Dental.

She is a graduate of numerous post-doctorate neuromuscular and cosmetic dentistry curriculums at the prestigious Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies. She has completed the advanced aesthetic clinical hands-on curriculum at Arrowhead Dental Laboratory. She has also received several awards including being named one of America's Top Dentist in 2007 and the Dr. Dick Barnes Group Award. Dr. Elenbaas is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, Mississippi Dental Association and a former president of the Greater Gulfport Dental Society. Dr. Elenbaas has the knowledge and experience to provide her patients utmost care utilizing the most up to date technology from general dentistry to comprehensive full mouth rehabilitation.

Dr. Darren Alexander

After graduation from Gulfport High School and then the University of Mississippi, Dr. Darren Alexander received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Mississippi School of Dentistry, graduating summa cum laude. While attending the school of dentistry, Dr. Alexander received several awards including the Wallace V. Mann, Jr. Award for the highest overall GPA, the American College of Prosthodontics Achievement Award, the American Academy of Periodontology Award, the William S. Kramer Award of Excellence, and the Quintessence Publishing Company Award for Clinical Achievement in Restorative Dentistry. He was recognized for his extensive involvement in dental research with an award from the Academy of Dental Materials. Dr. Alexander was honored to present the results of his research at several national and international dental conferences. He continued his training through an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program at Idaho State University. During his residency he received extensive training in cosmetic and rehabilitation dentistry, implant placement and restoration, and received certification in both intravenous and oral sedation.

Dr. Alexander returned home to the Mississippi Gulf Coast - joining the Beach View Dental Team in the summer of 2007. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He is also the proud parent of an adopted greyhound from the Mobile Greyhound Park.
